His Royal Highness Prince of Asir region witnesses King Khalid University Silver Jubilee batch graduation ceremony

His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of  Asir Region and Chairman of its Development Authority, congratulated the male and female students of King Khalid University, the graduates of the academic year 1444.

This came during His Highness' patronage, yesterday evening, Thursday, of the graduation ceremony of the 25th batch of the university students for the academic year 1444 AH - 2023 AD, "Silver Jubilee Class", at the stadium in the university city in Al-Fara'a.

His Highness Prince Turki bin Talal affirmed that "work has been accomplished with concerted efforts to  overcome the obstacles that faced university projects and complete them within only a year and a half, and this would not have been achieved without the grace of God Almighty, then the keenness and directives of the wise leadership of this country, and today we celebrate the graduation of the university students of this great edifice.

Under the sprinkles of rain, which painted a distinctive festive atmosphere, the ceremony, which was attended by more than 25,000 people,  commenced with verses recited from the Holy Qur’an.Then, His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, delivered a speech in which he welcomed His Highness, Prince of Asir region and the attendees, stressing that "our dear country is proud of more than twelve thousand male and female graduates to be constructive arms and partners in achieving development and construction."

Al-Solamy added that the male and female graduate students started a new stage of giving, which every male and female graduate embodies for their dear country with all the meanings of loyalty, in a great homeland whose rational government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - believed that knowledge is the pathway to development where the human being is at its center, expressing his thanks to the wise leadership and His Highness, the Prince of Asir region, for his unlimited support for the university, its employees and students, and appreciating the privileges the university has earned from the Ministry of Education.



Al-Solamy also congratulated the male and female graduates and added, "Thank you to your honorable families who sponsored the achievement, until they saw it today with pride and glory, and thanks to the honorable employees of the university, who fulfilled the trust and deserved respect."

After that, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Khalidi, and the Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Faye’, announced the results of graduates from various stages, as the number of graduates of postgraduate programs reached 1360 male and female students in various stages (PhD - Masters - High Diplomas).  The number of male and female graduates from the diploma and bachelor’s levels is 11,085, of whom 4,008 are male and 6,257 are female at the bachelor’s level. From the diploma stage, the number of graduates is 211 male and 613 female.

After that, His Highness the Prince of the Asir region and the audience watched a video film entitled "Graduate of a Homeland", then an operetta to celebrate the graduates. The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Qahtani, recited the graduates' oath. At the end of the ceremony, the university honored the graduates with honors in various stages and specializations.
