‏GCC Secretary General Condemns Israeli Decision to Allow Resettlement in Northern West Bank Areas

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, has denounced occupying Israeli authorities’ decision to allow resettlement in Northern West Bank Areas in the State of Palestine. He condemned the decision for being a blatant violation of international laws that contributes to undermining regional and international peace efforts.

He also stressed the GCC countries' stance on the Palestinian cause, which is at the forefront of Arab and Muslim causes, and expressed his support for establishing an independent Palestinian state within the June 4, 1967, borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.

Albudaiwi urged support for the regional and international efforts to revive the peace process in the Middle East, and to end illegal activities that pose a danger to the two-state solution, in line with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy.
